Connected but Alone

I think as a generation and an individual I have become too attached to mobile devices. We have grown up with this technology and just as we have changed, so has it. It has become a safety blanket, something we can hide in or surround ourselves with in order to escape our present situation. She made the argument by pointing out that even in social gatherings were just as happy to sit together in person but all do our own thing, isolating ourselves in what we're doing on our phones and ignoring the real life human interaction around us.I think I do agree with what she is saying. We need to relearn how to survive without this technology, get to know people by talking to them instead of messaging, learn to have a real conversation instead of quick exchanges all the time.
